Hello Parents/Coaches,
Just a reminder that we will play every Sunday until March 17th, this includes this coming Sunday February 17.
Also, if you know that your child plans to play in the Spring, registration is already open. Do not wait until the last minute as the teams fill up and you will not be able to request certain coaches/teams etc. I do my best to fill requests but if it is last minute, I cannot guarantee it.
Thanks very much!

Fall Soccer is Here!!
Greetings U7 Parent,
Fall soccer is almost here. We will start on Sunday September 9th. I will email you the team assignment on Tuesday. We are still in need of parent volunteers to help the Coaches. Please reach out with any questions. There is no experience necessary, it is literally to help the head coach organize the kids and keep track of breaks. Since you will be at the field anyway, it is a great way to get involved and help the kids.
Games will be played at Pine Banks Field inside the track. Pine Banks is on the corner of Main St. and Sylvan St. in Melrose. The schedule will be on the U7 blog. The link is below and is also on the Malden Youth Soccer website. Please pay attention as the times your child will play can change. The blog is also where we post any cancellations or changes.

Parents will need to supply:
-If your child already has the correct uniform color, please use it. If not, the league will supply a shirt, shorts, and socks on the first day.
-A #3 ball, please put their name on it.
-Cleats are recommended but not necessary. They can wear sneakers.
-Shin pads are a must. Your child will not be allowed to play without them.
-Water for frequent water breaks.
-Snack in case they need it.
- Long pants and long sleeved shirts may be worn under the team uniform if desired.
-Players must not wear earrings during the practice or game.
-Parents must remain at the field with their children during the entire session
Our Philosophy
At the U7 level we continue focusing on basic skills, and begin incorporating more of the basic rules into the experience.
Our primary focus remains providing a fun and healthy environment for the kids to discover their emerging soccer skills. We do not focus on winning. We don't keep official score, celebrate wins, or mourn losses. We strive for every player to get equal playing time, and try to keep the number of players on the field small in order to maximize opportunities to play. We reward skillful play, good attitudes and sportsmanship.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns as the season moves forward and we all look forward to a great season.
Thanks very much,
Nicole Doucette

Last Day of Soccer and field day
Hi Parents and Coaches.
Tomorrow is the last day of soccer. We will have our regular scheduled practice/game with field day right after your child's session. Example: your child plays from 9-10:30, the coach will hand out trophies to the team, you will head over to the area set up for food and fun. We will have pizza, slush, and water for the kids, siblings and parents. If anyone wants to bring a dessert item and put it on the table, feel free. We will also have an inflatable obstacle course. Kids and families can just play and hang out. If your child's game is from 10:30-12 (same thing, you will go over after the game).
We wish you all a happy, healthy summer and look forward to seeing you in the fall!
Have a great day,
Nicole
